Portrait Session FAQ

The saying goes “A picture is worth a thousand words”. Those words have always resonated with me. I love that pictures can be a reminder of the good times with family or a reminder of family members who are no longer with us. Pictures can make you laugh. They can make you cry. They will always make you remember. I love to capture those precious moments with your family that can easily be forgotten.

Booking your session: When choosing a day for your session you should keep a few things in mind. Book for the first or second day of your trip. Florida’s weather can be unpredictable! If the weather decides to not cooperate you will have a couple days to play with for rescheduling your session. Also you can avoid the dreaded sunburn look especially if you are fair skinned or sunburn easily

Booking with babies and young children: If you have babies or children make sure they are well rested, fed and happy. Keep in mind kids can get overheated, tired and cranky on hot days. You may want to consider a morning photo session. You know your child the best so think about their mood throughout the day and pick a time that you think would work best for your child. Is it in the morning when they are well rested, have breakfast and are ready to conquer the day? Or is after an afternoon nap and snack. Golden hour may not be the best because by evening they are usually tired and ready for a little sleep.

What time of day to book: As far as time of day, it really is your preference. Do you want a brighter sunnier look or do you want the sunrise or sunset/golden hour look. All can be beautiful but also keep in mind if you have children, babies or elderly with you what time of day works best for them.

Choosing a package: Choosing a package is not as difficult as you may think. The amount of people you have will determine the package that best fits your family. The best way to find the right package for you is to make a list of the pictures you are wanting. For example: full group, grandparent with grandchildren, parents with children, individual family groups, children, cousins, siblings, etc. Also bring the list with you will help me to ensure we take all the photos you are wanting.

Receiving your gallery: You will receive an email with a link to your gallery within 14 days. You will choose to download the whole gallery or just the pictures you want. To share the gallery with friends and family simply forward the email to them. You may also order prints, canvas prints and cards from your gallery.
